停止做工，壞掉了。

暫時停下腳步，去做某事。

stop 若當作"戒除，停止（常做的事或習慣）"解釋時，後面習慣用動名詞。
"cry wolf" - 喊“狼來了”，或無事也抱怨。

Pay no attention. She is just crying wolf again.
不要理她。她只是再一次喊“狼來了”。

stop 若當作"（使）停下；中斷"解釋時，後面習慣用動名詞。
