否定句 (Negative Sentence)

否定句是一種用來表達否認、抵觸、反駁、拒絕、反對等等的陳述。

如何把肯定句轉成否定句？

	她可能會喜歡這條裙子。	她可能不會喜歡這條裙子。

	他正在準備考試。	他沒有正在準備考試。
4.	My mom said that.	My mom did not say that.
	我媽媽這麼說過。	我媽媽沒有這麼說過。

規則：

肯定句的主要動詞若是Be動詞，在Be動詞後面加個 not，轉成否定句。

She is happy. ==> She is not happy.
They were here. ==> They were not here.

肯定句帶有助動詞時，在助動詞之後加個 not，轉成否定句。

I will leave tomorrow. ==> I will not leave tomorrow.
The girl should sleep more. ==> The girl should not sleep more.

肯定句為進行式時，在Be動詞與現在分詞中間加個 not，轉成否定句。

Jack is waiting for the bus. ==> Jack is not waiting for the bus.
The child was sleeping last night. ==> The child was not sleeping last night.

其他一般動詞按該動詞的時式改成"do/does/did + not + 動詞原式"，轉成否定句。

I believe you. ==> I do not believe you.
She slept well last night. ==> She did not sleep well last night.

Our team _______ not play well yesterday.

(A) are (B) does (C) do (D) were (E) did

我們的團隊昨天表現不佳。

有些字本質上已具備了 "not" 或 "no" 等否定的意思，例如"none", "never", "nothing", "nobody", "nowhere", "no one", "nor", "neither", "seldom", "hardly", "barely", "scarcely"。不要把兩個具有否定意思的字連在一起，應避免使用雙重否定。

凱莉沒有可穿去宴會的衣服。
Kelly don't have nothing to wear to the party.
Kelly has nothing to wear to the party.

"don't" 與 "nothing" 都具有否定意思，避免使用雙重否定。

No one 既然已經具有否定意思，如何把下句改成肯定句呢？

No one believes her.

沒有人相信她。

肯定句以 Everyone 來取代否定句的 No one

Everyone believes her.

每個人都相信她。

同樣地，never 具有否定意思,

She never eat anything in class.

她在課堂從來不吃任何東西上。

改成肯定句時以 always 取代 never， something 取代 anything。

She always eat something in class.

她總是在課堂上吃東西。
